Sandra McCoy, MPH, PhD

Sandra McCoy, MPH, PhD is a Professor in the Division of Epidemiology at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health and the Program Lead of Berkeley’s Online/On-Campus MPH program in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Dr. McCoy’s research team designs and evaluates behavioral interventions to improve sexual and reproductive health using methods from impact evaluation, implementation science, and behavioral science. Their goal is to identify innovative, cost-effective, and scalable interventions to overcome persistent global health challenges, including access to HIV prevention and care. Dr. McCoy has worked in Tanzania since 2011 in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other local partners, and her professional activities are increasingly focused on strengthening the quantitative training pipeline for early career researchers in sub-Saharan Africa
