Prof. Henry Abraham Mollel

Prof. Henry Abraham Mollel, (PhD) is the Principal of Mzumbe University, Mbeya Campus College. He obtained his Health Administration training at Mzumbe University the then Institute of Development Management Mzumbe and later pursued a Master of Science in Public Services Management majoring in Health Systems Management at Aston University in the United Kingdom. He holds a PhD in Governance of Health and Education Systems from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. He has successfully managed two research projects in Tanzania as part of his postdoctoral studies, the monitoring and evaluation of the Pay for Performance (P4P) Pilot Initiative in the Pwani Region and the Support, Train, and Empowers Managers (STEM) project.
Prof. Mollel has led several consultancies and research in the area of Health Systems Management;
Health Monitoring and Evaluation; Development and evaluation of National Health Systems Policies, strategic plans and guidelines; and Human Resources for Health. He has been a Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator in various health systems projects. Prof. Mollel is a member of the Human Resources for Health Technical Working Group and of the Monitoring and Evaluation Sub-committee on HIV and AIDS under the Ministry of Health.
