Dr. Lawrencia D. Mushi

Dr. Lawrencia Mushi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Health Systems Management at Mzumbe University. She also serves as the Acting Head of the Quality Assurance Unit (HQAU) at Mzumbe University. She is in charge of coordinating all quality assurance issues at the University. As a result, she is actively involved in Quality Assurance (QA) training, the development of QA policies, guidelines, and tools, as well as the review and facilitation of program accreditation at the national and regional levels. She has worked as a technical person and a trainer for the Ministry of Health, as well as other government institutions, capacity-building consortiums, non-governmental organizations, and projects, to build the capacity of health care professionals in the areas of Health Systems/Hospital Management, Human Resource for Health, Health Care Financing, Health Systems Research, Health Monitoring and Evaluation, Health Policy and Planning, and Quality Management. She has worked on health-related program evaluations such as the DREAM project, among others. She has authored both systematic reviews and original health-related articles, with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries. Since 2018, she has been serving as a member of the Editorial Board for the East African Journal of Applied Health Monitoring and Evaluation (EAJAHME).
